Product Description
Key Properties
- Extreme hardness: Mohs ~9.5 (second only to diamond), far harder than steel.
- Super wear resistance: Lasts 3–5× longer than high‑speed steel (HSS) burrs.
- Heat resistance: Maintains cutting performance at high temperatures.
Structure
- Head: The cutting part, precision‑ground with flutes (single‑cut or double‑cut).
- Shank: A steel or carbide stem (typically 1/8" or 1/4" diameter) for clamping.
- Connection: Usually silver‑brazed or welded for strength.
- Two parts:The head is made of tungsten carbide and the handle is made of steel. The head and handle are welded together using sandwich welding plates through high-temperature melting.

Common Shapes
- Ball/round: For contouring, blending, and hollowing.
- Cylindrical: For flat surfaces, deburring, and slotting.
- Tapered/pointed: For detail work, engraving, and reaching tight spaces.
