Cemented carbide bushings—also known as tungsten steel bushings—are versatile components designed for protection. Their specific function and purpose in practice depend heavily on the application environment. In valve applications, they are installed on the valve stem and bonnet to minimize leakage and ensure a tight seal; in bearing applications, they serve to reduce wear between the bearing and the housing and prevent the clearance between the shaft and the bore from widening.
