Product Description

Product introduction

The tungsten alloy bar is made from tungsten as the matrix, with metallic elements such as nickel, iron, and copper added to form the alloy bar. It is manufactured using powder metallurgy processes, sintering, rolling, or forging, and features a regular cylindrical structure.

Tungsten alloy bars can be used in counterweight components, radiation shielding, the military industry, flight rods, bars, molds, and more.

Product features

High density: the density typically ranges from 16.5 to 19.0 g/cm³, significantly higher than that of steel and other conventional metals, making it suitable for applications requiring a compact and heavy design.

High strength and hardness: at room temperature, the tensile strength can reach 800–1500 MPa, offering high hardness and wear resistance, capable of withstanding significant loads and friction.

High-temperature resistance: Even at elevated temperatures (above 1000 ℃), it maintains stable mechanical performance, without softening or easily deforming.

Excellent radiation shielding: it boasts a strong ability to absorb X-rays, gamma rays, and more, while being more stable and environmentally friendly than lead.

Good processing performance: it can be precisely processed through turning, grinding, drilling, and more, to meet the demands of complex shapes.

Areas of application

Military field: used in penetrator projectile cores, missile counterweights, and weapon components.

Aerospace: as counterweights for space vehicles, components of rocket engines, and gyroscopic rotors.

Industry: manufacturing of extrusion molds, precision shaft components, and cutting tools.

Medical field: it is used in shielding for radiotherapy equipment and as counterweights for medical imaging devices.

Electronics: as electrode material, high-temperature heating elements, and semiconductor encapsulation components.

Sports equipment: such as dart flights and fishing rod counterweights.
